Recommendation REC 24 (2003) of the Committee of Ministers to member states on the organisation of Palliative Care [Новость добавлена - 16.03.2007]

End of 2003 the COE released a document on palliative care with the title "Recommendation REC 24 (2003) of the Committee of Ministers to member states on the organisation of Palliative Care". which was approved and adopted on 12 November 2003, by all ministers of Health in the 45 countries in the Council of Europe. Each Ministry of Health has received copies of the document in either English or French.
According to the latest update of
05 November 2004 the document will be available in at least 17 different languages all over Europe
. The translations have in many cases been done totally on a voluntary basis and in "spare" time. The recommendations are available in: Croatian, Dutch, English, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian so far….! This means that more than 600 million Europeans, politicians, professionals, general public etc will be able to read the recommendations in their own language.
