Vote for the "palliative care for all at the end of life" be included in the BMJ [Новость добавлена - 16.04.2008]

Colleagues - PLEASE FORWARD OR SEND TO SUITABLE LISTS

British Med J launched a campaign to develop a focus for all their
publications (24 publications) in improving health care. They have
undergone a long process of winnowing down the possibilities to six
topics, and "palliative care for all at the end of life" is one of the
last six. They are running a vote among the six and will announce their
plans next week at a meeting in Europe.

It seems that it would be quite a boost for "palliative care for all at
the end of life" to be one of the final one or two items - but to do
that, there need to be a lot of votes by the end of the day tomorrow in
Britain (6 hours ahead of Eastern time zone). Interestingly, you don't
have to be British or a subscriber to vote. Just go to
http://makingadifference.bmj.com/ and register your vote (you can read
the articles through this website also - one on each topic makes the
case that the issue is important and another one makes the case that
there are potential improvement strategies).

So - please sign on and vote and quickly spread this around to others.
