End of Life Care Strategy Published

NCPC welcomed the July publication of the eagerly-anticipated End of Life Care Strategy. The strategy sets out firm plans to improve end of life care for all those who need it, and tasks NCPC to lead a government-funded coalition to improve public awareness of death, dying and bereavement. NCPC’s chair, Professor Mayur Lakhani, said “Providing quality of life at the end of life is the hallmark of a caring society. I am delighted that NCPC will be a key player in helping the public to talk more about these issues and to support staff to communicate better with patients and carers on the plans and choices that they may want to make.”
