published by the Jagiellonian University Press, Krakow. The book is a collection of articles by authors from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, (East) Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and the UK - many of them EAST members - with a research interest in ageing societies in the region.

Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to inform you of the recent publication of a book Jolanta
Perek-Bialas and I jointly edited entitled "The Ageing Societies of Central and
Eastern Europe: Some Problems - Some Solutions", published by the Jagiellonian
University Press, Krakow. The book is a collection of articles by authors from
Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, (East) Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and the UK -
many of them EAST members - with a research interest in ageing societies in the
region.

The book is organised in three parts:
