of cancer and helps build confidence in, and support for, the research effort. This award-winning
piece, written by Mark Henderson of The Times newspaper, UK, looks at a new nanoparticle
therapy that opens the possibility of delivering higher doses of chemotherapy to a tumour while
reducing side-effects in the rest of the body.
