Final programme for the 7th World Research Congress of the EAPC in Trondheim [Новость добавлена - 29.05.2012]

Dear colleague,

the final programme for the 7th World Research Congress of the EAPC in Trondheim is now available, including all oral and poster presentations.

It contains the latest updates from the ongoing palliative care research worldwide. During this congress more than 600 submitted abstracts will be presented orally and by posters. International experts are invited to give plenary lectures and the programme also offers an excellent range of parallel and meet-the-expert sessions covering important aspects of palliative care. New knowledge will undoubtedly be gained during the congress, that ultimately will improve the quality of life for our patients.

The scientific committee is proud to announce that plenary lectures will be delivered by the following international experts:
Eduardo Bruera: The Vittorio Ventafridda lecture: “The development of a field over 25 years: Most important findings and impact”.
Gary Rodin: “Research on psychological and social factors in palliative care: Contributions, controversies and impact on the field”.
Irene Higginson: “Dying at home – is it better: what have we learned and where are we going?”

Please find the final programme at the congress website. There you can also download the abstract book.

You are still welcome to register for the congress.

Welcome to Trondheim in June!

Best wishes,

Per Sjøgren, chair of the scientific committee
Anne Kari Knudsen, chair of the organising committee
Stein Kaasa, chair of the EAPC Research Network
